PRSSA Kent points are given for meeting attendance, event attendance, committee help, newsletter or blog articles, being an officer and more. See below for a full list. If you're looking to earn more points, talk to any officer and they will connect you with the right person!

(Any member can go to PRSSA International Conference, but you must have 15 points to qualify for funding.)

PRSSA Kent Points & Recognition System

Dues paying members have the opportunity to earn participation points that can be used for rewards, partial reimbursement for PRSSA National Conference and even free PRSSA membership!

What are points?
Points reward PRSSA members for participation and involvement. The members with the most points at the end of the year are rewarded, and the top point earner will receive free PRSSA membership for the next year or $55 if it is a graduating senior.

How do I earn points?
  • By paying membership dues (1 point/semester)
  • By attending general meetings (1 point/meeting)
  • By attending Darrow (officer) meetings (1 point/meeting)
  • By participating on a committee (1 point/meeting and more for additional involvement)
  • By attending National Conference (1 point)
  • By attending Regional Conference (1 point)
  • By attending PRSA meetings or events (1 point/meeting or event)
  • Writing a blog for the website (2 points/blog)
  • Creating Social Media Content (1 point)
  • By attending socials (1 point/social)
  • By participating in PRSSA National Twitter chats (1 point/chat)
  • By participating in community service initiatives (points awarded at the discretion of Community Relations Manager)
  • By becoming a PRSSA officer (15 points)
  • By participating in the Bateman Case Study Competition (5 points)
  • ​By participating in the National Organ Donor Awareness Competition (4 points)
