MDJ PR Scholarships


  • Ludel Sauvageot Scholarship. 
    For an outstanding public relations major. Special emphasis given to financial need.
  • David A. Meeker Endowed Scholarship. 
    For an outstanding public relations student, based on academic performance, financial need and leadership.
  • E. Zoe McCathrin Public Relations Scholarship.
    For an outstanding public relations major who also is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
  • Edward Cliney Award. 
    For an outstanding public relations major.
  • William Sledzik Scholarship

PRSSA Scholarships

Members who pay national dues have the opportunity to apply for PRSSA scholarships and grants.
  • David A. Meeker Scholarship
    The applicant must be a full-time student majoring in Public Relations or Communication and currently attending the University of Akron, Kent State University, Malone College, Mount Union, Walsh University or Youngstown State University. 
  • Betsy/Plank PRSSA Scholarship 
    If you are a public relations junior and senior, consider applying for the Betsy Plank/PRSSA Scholarship, an award that honors three outstanding students.
  • Robin M. Urbanski Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship is designed to honor a student entering his or her junior or senior year at a four-year accredited institution for his/her mentoring of others and his/her commitment to public relations.
  • Ofield Dukes Multicultural Student Award
    If you are a public relations junior of African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native American, Alaskan Native or Pacific Islander ancestry, consider applying for the Ofield Dukes Multicultural Student Award. This award recognizes young men and women for outstanding academic achievement.
  • Neumeier Family Leadership Award
    Open to all graduate and undergraduate PRSSA members, the Neumeier Family Leadership Award, recognizes a student who has demonstrated an outstanding record of effective leadership in PRSSA, the campus and/or the community.
