KENT, Ohio (Sept. 8, 2015) - The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) selected its Kent State University Chapter to give a presentation at the organization’s National Conference in Atlanta this November. Five members of PRSSA Kent will share the Chapter’s best practices in collaborating with other organizations on campus and working with the faculty, staff and administration of the university as a whole. Presenters include public relations juniors Jesse Gettemy, Hanna Moore, Brenna Parker, Gabrielle Woodard and Erin Zaranec. "It’s such an honor to speak on behalf of PRSSA Kent at National Conference this year,” Moore, the Chapter’s Vice President of Membership said. “I’m so excited to be representing Kent State, and I can’t wait to live up to our title as Outstanding Chapter.” This is the third time in five years the Chapter has been selected by the PRSSA National Committee to present a Chapter Development Session. Last year, Kent State students presented “The Alumni Matchmaker: Best Practices In Alumni Relations.” “Doing a Chapter Development Session at PRSSA National Conference gives our Chapter an opportunity to show our strengths and learn where we have opportunities to improve,” Woodard, the Chapter’s president, said.
PRSSA Kent will deliver its presentation, entitled “We Are Family: Becoming Part of Your University Community,” Friday, Nov. 6, from 3-4 p.m. For more information about the PRSSA National Conference, visit http://prssa.prsa.org/events/Conference.
